Flagstone & Natural Stone Patios
One-of-a-kind patios from Tennessee-region fieldstone, flagstone and bluestone, set with tight joints and an eye for fit.
The details, in plain English.
Natural stone has a depth that manufactured material cannot copy: color variation, texture and edges shaped by nature. Flagstone, bluestone, limestone and fieldstone each bring a different mood, from rustic garden to refined terrace.
Setting stone is craft work. Each piece is selected and fit to its neighbors, then set on a compacted base either dry with sand or thin joints, or mortared over a slab, depending on your design and use. The result is a surface that looks like it has always been there.

Questions, answered
Is natural stone slippery?
Most flagstone has a natural texture with good traction. We steer you away from polished or very smooth stone for walking surfaces.
Is it more expensive than pavers?
Natural stone usually costs more per square foot because of material and the time to fit each piece. We show options at several price points.
