Paver Patio Installation

Interlocking pavers on a compacted base: durable, repairable and available in endless colors and patterns.

What it is

The details, in plain English.

Pavers are the workhorse of residential hardscape. Individual units set in sand on a compacted stone base flex slightly with the ground, shrug off freeze-thaw cycles and can be lifted and reset if a utility ever needs access. Colors and textures range from tumbled antique to clean modern.

The difference between a patio that looks great for decades and one that sinks in two winters is what lies beneath. We excavate, build the base in compacted lifts, screed the bedding layer and finish the joints with polymeric sand.

  • Patios, firepit areas and outdoor dining
  • Properties with clay or soft soil

Good questions

Questions, answered

Do pavers sink or wash out?

A well-built base and proper joint sand prevent it. Sinking almost always traces to a thin or poorly compacted base, which is where we spend most of our effort.

Do I have to seal pavers?

No, but sealing can enhance color and make cleaning easier. We explain the pros and cons for your material before you decide.
